The Other Side of Education

Mental health conversations: A must for education

Listen Later

Hello, It's been a while, and what a way to come back than with a conversation on mental health!
In this episode with my guest, Tega Omogor, 'total life transformation and substance-use recovery coach', we delve deep into mental health disorders, drug use entry ways and look at simple strategies parents and educators can take to reduce the surge of addictions.

At the government level, the discussion urged for better support systems, the need to make mental health issues more open and also look at bullying even in offices which threatens safe and healthy environments in the workplace.

Tega's personal story draws us to the importance of mental health training for educators and for parents to truly take out time to be more intentional in understanding their children better.
Shout out to us when you get to the very profound statement from Tega when she says, 'I want to be the person that I needed at that age!' Deep!
