Mental health is a part of society that has not always been taken as a serious problem. Over time psychiatric facilities were shut down due to the concept of deinstitutionalization. Under the premise that outpatient care and stabilization would be a better approach has led to short-term care for patients. Finding themselves being treated for lapses in mental stability and putting a “band aide on the symptoms” rather than long-term care plans and follow up due to the lack of specialties and facilities for reform and treatment. Are there rising rates of mental crises in America? Do you believe that the care provided currently is successful in teaching patients how to care for themselves and conform to society? With the rising stressors in society, anyone can fall victim of a mental breakdown. Do you agree or disagree with the right to bear and carry arms? So that citizens can be prepared and defend when in violent areas and/or confronted with harmful and deranged people. Decorum means to act or behave in keeping with good taste and propriety. The incident between Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jasmine Crocket, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a microcosm of how political debate is being handled currently. Defamation of physical characteristics, emotional responses, and lack of class in conversation has ruined diplomacy and debate in politics. Is it a top-down causation that causes these representatives to act like this in reflection of President Trumps behavior? Is there fault to the citizens for voting representative in positions that are supposed selfless, in noble pursuit, and power to affect the nation. These positions are to be a selfless service, with unbiased actions and emotions so that they can facilitate growth and take care of the priorities of our nation. Not to bicker argue amongst themselves over nonsensical argument. Would limiting term positions in Senate and Congress be a positive change to allow for better representatives to fill the positions? What other options are there for us to make a change for the better? How can we improve the lack of decorum and class in politics and society? The high road may be difficult to take at times yet should not neglected as an option. As the saying goes “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. To stoop low in retaliation of of another’s actions is a disservice of self and belittles reputation.
