Mental Health Explored Further

Listen Later

On Thursday July 18th Penji and 1776 collaborated to facilitate a conversation about Breaking The Stigma of Mental Health in The Workplace. The panel consisted of Penji’s Director of Partnerships Sekinah Brodie as a moderator. The panelists included Triana Martinez a life readiness director at Hopeworks ’N Camden, Tonya Ladipo of The Ladipo Group, Ellen McGeoch of Neuroflow Solutions, and Andrew Onimus of Minding Your Mind.

The hour long discussion and Q&A consisted of the panelists digging into their own experiences with mental health and providing insight for destigmatizing the conversation further. The 4 business professionals spoke about creating a safe, open culture in the workplace, how they hold themselves accountable, strategies to avoid burnout, and how damaging the “24/7 grind culture” can be.

Penji is a Camden based graphic design startup. However they uphold a dedicated mission to bringing people together to create community and share stories. For Sekinah specifically she believes her personal experiences can help others.
