For Mental Health Awareness month, I interview various helping professionals to discuss mental health in certain contexts. Today's episode is joined by Ana Dolores, a student at Fuller Theological Seminary in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program. Her dissertation includes research for first generation, 1.5 generation, and second generation immigrants, and she explains why she wants to work with emerging adults.

We discuss ethnic identity for different members of immigrant families, the "language of experience," personal experiences as 1.5 generation & 2nd generation immigrants, internal/external world, and what bridging the gap in families and in therapeutic settings looks like.
