Mental Health is Human Health: Therapy

Listen Later

Why do we see increasing rates of mental distress, depression and suicide among teens and young adults? LCC counselor Louise Rabidoux and PAR Rehab therapist Charla Yingling discuss what they observe on campus and in our community, and talk about the therapy experience, different types of therapy, and how to access resources.

Charla Yingling, LCSW, received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. While there, she completed the Clinical Social Work with Families Certification Program. Charla also holds a Master’s in Telecommunications and Urban Studies. At PAR Rehab, Charla provides psychotherapy services to an ethnically diverse client population of varying ages. She works with individuals, couples, families, and children. Her clinical interests include working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress management, and couple/family relational concerns. She is member of the National Association of Social Workers.
