In this episode Dr. Holly Oxhandler, Associate Dean and Professor at Baylor University’s Diana R. Garland School of Social Work and author of Soul of the Helper, sits down with me to discuss health and mental health, religion and spirituality. She speaks plainly and vulnerably to normalize therapy, medication and other ways to care for ourselves. It only took 5 minutes in a conversation with her for me to remember the importance of talk therapy and to feel as though I had just made a dear friend.
