Marquita LaGarde received her Masters Social Work degree in 2017 from Loma Linda University. She is a Licensed clinical social worker 10 years in the field of mental health and 5 years with a specific focus on childhood trauma. She currently works in Phoenix Arizona as a school social worker and a member of the districts trauma subcommittee. She is of the practice that trauma wounds can be healed through building healthy relationships and learning new ways to cope in a healthy and constructive way. She is a strong proponent of therapy and healthy communities to further resiliency.
