You're now free to move about the cabin! It's a brand new year, and there's so much to look forward to and enjoy this year such as new places, new friends, and of course new goals. But the one thing we can do to set ourselves up for success is to create a self-serving mind. After all your mind can be your best friend OR your worst enemy. Journaling is a great resource for release and reflection this year. On the very first page, however, I encourage you to kick off this year with a list of your favorite creature comforts. 

Creature comforts are anything simple and blissful that helps you melt away stress. Examples include:

  • Going for a 10 minute walk (great for stress at the office or out with friends)
  • Taking a hot bath
  • Indulging in a warm chocolate chip cookie and a tall glass of milk
  • Sipping tea and sitting by a window
  • Watching your favorite Netflix series
  • The next time anxiety or stress starts creeping up at the office, out with friends, or at home... turn to this laundry list and keep your focus on what really matters this year! Happy New Year!
