Imposter syndrome can sneak up on the best of us.
It also sneaks up on most of us from time to time.
A 2019 study found that up to 82% of folks report feeling like a fraud or experience feelings of self-doubt regarding their abilities from time to time.
So...as you likely gathered, imposter syndrome is that pesky feeling that nags us and whispers not-so-nice things in our ears like "you're not good enough," "anyone could have achieved what I have," "they're going to realize that I'm not as smart/insightful/innovative as they thought when they hired me."
Yeah, a real bully.
So what can you do to keep imposter syndrome at bay?
We're going to look at two clear paths today:
What's our communication challenge? We're going to set high, but attainable goals. We're going to let our employees know we know they can do it. We're going to let ourselves know, that WE KNOW we can do it.
Until next time, communicate with intention and lead with purpose.
