I personally feel that my mentors has saved my life more than once in my career. The beauty of it is that you can share your very human experience with them, my job said they had to be above me but that isn’t always the case. The people above me tended to do the most harm because they couldn’t meet me where I was, too bogged down by their own experiences… extremely ornery. You can be mentored in a moment by seeking counsel and have a very specific conversation. Iron sharpens IRON. I caution you to never suffer in silence, speak your mind and find peace. Find refuge in a friend, a mentor.
