Timothy Poole, also known as Mr. Tim or DJ One Gone, is amulti-talented individual dedicated to serving the community, particularly its youth. He founded Hooked on Fishing Not On Violence (HOFNOV), a unique programthat introduces inner-city at-promise children to the art and sport of fishing.
Over the past twelve years, HOFNOV has given more than 4,700 children and teens the chance to participate in fishing derbies and camping trips held throughout the spring and summer. The program also offers healing circles for men and boys and encourages parental involvement.
Rooted in faith and values instilled by his grandmother,Tim is a cornerstone of the community. He works with boys of all ages to help them acknowledge their feelings and heal, fostering the next generation of positive community leaders. Through his radio show, Hip Hop After Dark, which airs Saturdays from 7-9pm on 97.5FM KDEE, Tim provides a platform for youth to discuss community issues and express themselves through positive music.
