This episode might sound more like a horoscope with our discussion of full moons, Mercury in retrograde, and other astrological happenings. Although we don’t fully understand how all of this biodynamic gardening actually works, it’s quite clear that “it just works,” as farmer Ralph Johnson says when explaining the gardening practices he’s followed for over 30 years. When a farmer has more than 30 years of year-round growing seasons in his personal biodynamic gardening experience and he keeps good records of inputs and yields, we don’t need to see the equation for how it works.
