I am Meredith Rush-Inglis, a BCBA based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I work on a clinical team supporting children and adults who have complex special needs that receive services via our agency’s supported residential services, adult day program, vocational training, or foster programs. In 2011 I received a Master’s Degree in Applied Disability Studies, with a focus in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Brock University. After 8 years of applying ABA principles across a variety of environments (inpatient and outpatient hospital settings for adults with dual diagnosis, supported living environments, day programs, vocational training programs for adults with special needs, and an early intervention clinic for children and teens with Autism) I became a BCBA in 2019. I’ve found my passion in pursuing continuing education and practice in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).I look forward
to applying it to reduce and prevent burnout in direct care teams of helping professionals and parents of children with special needs.
If I didn’t have to earn an income you would find me taking dance classes of all styles, coaching/mentoring helping professionals and parents to use the ACT Matrix, and likely road tripping and car camping as often as possible with my canine companion, Shelby.
