This week Tony and I talk about transaction coordinators and some of the other fees that come along with getting a mortgage.

Transaction Coordinators (aka TC's) are frequently used by realtor.  It is someone who stream lines the paper work and logistics on a real estate deal.  They are very helpful to us, and we typically pay them for each deal they help us with.  When you a hire an agent you should ask what fees are associated with hiring them.  If you see something to the effect of an "admin" fee, ask what it is.  If they are charging you (typically several hundred $$) for THEIR choice to use a transaction coordinator, I would call BS on this.  It is not your responsibility to pay for something that makes their life easier.
