we continue our exploration of the Kingdom of Heaven with the first recorded statement that Jesus makes about it, found in Matthew 5:3.   He says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."  I never really understood that phrase, so I enjoyed taking some time to learn what it means.  In full disclosure, I'm still not quite satisfied with what I have learned, but I am convinced that the things I am going to share with you are true.  I hope that you will be inspired to study it for yourself, and we can all learn from the Holy Spirit together.
