When we hear the term, “tough love,” we usually think of some form of disciplinary action. that is a necessary part of love, but there’s a better definition. Paul lays it out in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Jesus exhibited it when He died on that cross, having asked that the Father forgive His murderers.  Tough love is that which never fails, even when it is hated in return.
