As we continue our study of Paul's letter to the believers in Rome, we come to a passage that may be the most controversial of our time. (Romans 1:26-32 will be the text.) It's in here, so let's address it. I believe Paul puts emphasis on a particular sin for two reasons: its prevalence in Roman society, and its affront to God's design for His creation. However, if we keep reading, Paul will cover a vast range of human depravity. This is the end result of having rejected His truth in favor of lies. Observe the world around you, and know that he speaks the truth.

But God has not left us there. Before Paul begins describing the state of those who reject God, he proclaims the power of the good news of Jesus Christ to save. I am blind. If you see me about to walk out in front of a car, I hope you will call out to warn me. If I believe that you are on a path that leads to death, to call out to you to turn around is not hate, it is love. As you listen, I hope you will here God's heart and mine.
