Luke 18:31-43 CSB
How to strengthen the vision of your heart when your eyes cannot see:
1. Recognition of His Nature - He will reveal His abilities/nature as He lifts your eyes off the limitations of your inabilities/circumstances. As you come to Him, He will exchange bitterness and defeat with a restored hope and deep trust in Him. A faith that makes you well comes from a heart that knows Him well.
2. Submission to His Lordship - Where our means of self-reliance, idols of understanding, and deceptive forms of control are given to Him as a proclamation that He is Lord. It is in this posture He will show you that there is miraculous power available when He’s seated on the throne of your heart.
3. Invitation to Restore - Bring the desires of your heart to Him as a demonstration that you trust Him. After periods of waiting, the things we desire most quickly become the things we pray for the least. Stemming from fear of disappointment, past rejection, or unmet expectations, we simply stop asking. But He will approach the pure in heart, to restore the desires of their heart, once He is invited.
