What does a fruitful life look like when following Jesus brings resistance—and change feels uncomfortable?
In this October 25, 2026 message from Luke 13:1–35, Kevin Jordan continues Certainty, the Gospel of Luke Part 3. Through Jesus’ teaching about repentance, the barren fig tree, healing on the Sabbath, mustard seed and leaven, the narrow door, and His lament over Jerusalem, Kevin explores the transforming work Christ wants to grow in us.
A fruitful life is spiritually minded and missionally active. Thinking about change is a beginning, but it is not the same as changing. Small steps of obedience can reshape an entire life, and familiarity with Jesus cannot replace responding to Him. The invitation is to make room for Christ’s work, put Scripture into practice, and keep trusting Him through discouraging days.

What happens when the faith we profess and the life we practice point in different directions? In Luke 12:1–59, Jesus exposes hypocrisy, challenges the security we seek in possessions, and invites us to trust the Father and serve faithfully. Kevin Jordan continues Certainty, the Gospel of Luke Part 3 with a call to bring our vision, trust, and actions into agreement with Jesus.
This message examines the benefits we seek from God, the desires our prayers reveal, and the difference between serving others and trying to control them. The Father knows our needs. His care frees us to seek His kingdom, respond while there is time, and take the next concrete step of obedience.

How do you remain certain of Jesus when others reject Him—and when familiar religious habits stop changing your life? In Luke 11:14–54, Jesus answers opposition with His authority, His words, and a call to transformation. Kevin Jordan opens Certainty, the Gospel of Luke Part 3 by asking what it means to hear God’s Word and put it into practice.
Jesus’ wonders reveal His authority; His words deepen our certainty. A life freed from old patterns needs to be filled with the ways of Christ. The invitation is to receive His small corrections, build traditions that teach truth, and take one faithful step toward the person He is forming you to become.

What would change if God’s presence shaped your money, calendar, home, and relationships? In Ezekiel’s final vision, worship belongs alongside honest dealings, accountable leadership, and a place for the outsider. A river from the sanctuary brings life where death had ruled. Kevin Jordan closes the series by moving from putting God at the center to carrying His life outward. Redemption forms a people whose everyday practices bear witness that the Lord is there.

When life changes abruptly, what responsibility is yours—and what was never yours to control? Ezekiel’s judgments against the nations expose pride, revenge, and false security before the watchman’s warning brings the question home. Kevin Jordan explores how to receive a reset with humility and hope. Taking responsibility means owning your faithful response today, not accepting blame for every painful event. Kevin Jordan brings that warning into the habits of our thoughts, desires, and actions. This episode invites us to move beyond comparison and short-lived enthusiasm toward regular hearing, honest confession, and concrete changes made with the help of God’s people.

Your history influences you, but it does not remove your responsibility or close the door to repentance. Ezekiel challenges the proverb that blamed the present entirely on earlier generations. Kevin Jordan explores God’s justice and mercy, the concrete shape of righteous living, and the invitation to turn and live. This message calls us to own our choices and become a faithful influence for those who follow us, without pretending we can control their response to God.
