Wow! Wait for it...
The magnificent Psalms 18, and what the Father did when He raised Jesus out of hades and from the tomb, will rock your world to its very foundations! As I have pointed out, Psalms 18 is looked at as a Psalm of deliverance of David that had nothing to do with Jesus. He spoke as a prophet often in the Psalms about the sacrifice of Jesus, both physical and spiritual. When you begin to connect the dots, you begin to see how pregnant the Psalms are with this revelation.
Jesus said this after His resurrection:
When I was with you before, I told you everything written about me by Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must all come true. (Luke 24:44 NLT)
Have you seen lists that contain hundreds of places in the Hebrew Scripture that referred to Jesus? Do you think we have learned all the references and have no further need to learn more in the writings of Moses, the prophets, and the Psalms? It would be very high-minded or prideful to think we already know it all. Even if we could quote the whole Bible from memory, we do not know it all.
The apostle Paul stated that all we know now is partial and incomplete, and that in the world to come (Heaven) we will finally know just as God knows. (1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT) I think that for a very long time we will walk around Heaven and our mouths will be full of "ooh’s" and "ah’s". We will go from one revelation to another in awe! We will finally realize how little we knew, and how much we really misunderstood.
I certainly don't claim to know everything, or even a lot. The more I study, the more I must bow my head in humility and recognize how little I know. I have been graced by the Lord to learn some additional things about the sacrifice of Jesus, things that are truly revolutionary. I give Him all the glory for it. You are the real beneficiary of whatever He shows me. I get the privilege of writing and preaching about it for YOUR benefit.
Psalms 18 is one of those Psalms that is eye-popping and will grab your heart and imagination. The same will happen to you when we begin to study Jonah in relation to the sacrifice of Jesus. The podcast below is part one of a two-part presentation on Psalms 18. Get ready for it!

Download the free book that was the basis for most of this study, “The Story of our Great Redemption: Beyond Human Imagination!” That's the link to get the free 194-page book. I've published five different versions on this subject since 1977. The latest 2013 version in Spanish, “Tres Días y Tres Noches en el Corazón de la Tierra” is 290 pages long. Obviously, the Lord taught me a few more things from His Word. That is the most complete version I have published. In its pages are many of the extra things I brought out in these podcasts that were not in previous versions. Get the free "Tres Días..." PDF here. Glory to God!
