A Master’s Programme for Leading Through Change
AI can give leaders more answers than ever. But without clarity, purpose and awareness, more answers can simply create more noise.
In this conversation, Greg Suart is joined by Peter Matthies, founder of the Conscious Business Institute, and Carlos Sarmiento, Culture, Diversity & Inclusion Director at SLB.
Together, they explore why meaningful transformation begins within: through self-awareness, presence, purpose and the ability to reflect rather than simply react.
Carlos shares how these principles can be applied within the realities of a complex global organisation, while Peter introduces four levels of working with AI—moving beyond efficiency towards purpose, human flourishing and wisdom.
Their central message is clear: AI should serve consciously chosen human purposes, not quietly determine those purposes for us.

🌱🌈CBI Masters Conscious Business programme🌱🌈
I strongly recommend exploring the Conscious Business Master Program. It offers far more than another set of leadership tools: it is an opportunity to deepen self-awareness, clarify purpose and translate personal development into greater trust, stronger relationships and lasting organisational change.
For leaders seeking to navigate the age of AI with humanity, wisdom and conscious intent, it offers a timely and important pathway.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Sustainable change begins with consciousness—not simply new behaviours or processes.
- Conscious leaders create space to reflect, act from purpose and consider a wider circle of relationships.
- Culture is shaped by what leaders embody, encourage, reward and tolerate.
- AI accelerates the culture already present. Without awareness, it can amplify overwhelm, disconnection and short-term thinking.
- Used with purpose and discernment, AI can become a mirror, partner and amplifier of human potential.
- The capacity to bring together different perspectives and build collective intelligence will be increasingly important.

Dr Victoria Hurth is one of the clearest and most determined advocates I have encountered for change that is not cosmetic, incremental or confined to business – but fundamental, systemic and grounded in how we govern ourselves, our organisations and our economies.
In this powerful conversation, Victoria argues that many of the crises we face are not failures of intention so much as failures of the decision-making systems we have built. If financial self-interest remains the organising logic, sustainability efforts risk becoming little more than sticking plasters.
Her alternative is Purpose Governance: aligning decisions at every level with long-term wellbeing for all.
We explore the central thesis of her book Beyond Profit (which she co-authored with Ben Renshaw and Lorenzo Fioramonti) - the shift from Logic 1 to Logic 3, the relationship between macro, meso and micro change, the role of ISO 37000 and the emerging ISO 37011, and why worldview, philosophy and even Stoicism matter to leadership.
This is a conversation about changing the architecture beneath the system – not simply improving the outcomes it currently produces.

Anthropy - A Living Laboratory for Collective Intelligence.
What happens when more than 2,000 leaders from business, government, education, academia, the arts, charities and civil society leave their titles - and their sector silos - at the door?
Lucy Knill is CEO of Anthropy, the UK’s largest gathering of future makers. After 25 years in events and communications, Covid brought home to her the irreplaceable power of human connection—and strengthened her resolve to put that experience to more purposeful use.
An introduction to Anthropy founder John O’Brien, and a childhood connection with Eden Project co-founder Sir Tim Smit, brought her journey full circle.
In this conversation, Lucy describes Anthropy as a place where diverse perspectives meet, challenge one another and create possibilities that no single discipline could reach alone: a living laboratory for collective intelligence.
We explore whether inspiring conversations can translate into meaningful change; why leadership is shifting from control and ego towards stewardship, responsibility and kindness; and why business leaders have an exceptional opportunity to help rebuild trust. Lucy also explains Anthropy’s four lenses - People, Place, Prosperity and Global Perspective - and its framework for moving from individual agency to collective impact.

**Why do some leaders sense that business is capable of far more than simply generating profit? Why are increasing numbers questioning the worldview that has shaped our economies, organisations and cultures for centuries? And what if a different future is already emerging?**
In this special solo episode, Greg Suart shares the story behind **Meta-Conscious Leaders** - the experiences, questions and insights that led to its creation, and the vision that continues to shape its evolution.
Drawing on his own journey, including profound experiences of consciousness, Greg explores four lenses through which to understand our times:
• The meta-crisis facing humanity and why it calls for a fundamentally different response.
• Why business has become one of the most powerful forces shaping civilisation.
• How our worldview acts as the hidden operating system behind leadership, culture and economics.
• Why the future of business depends not only on changing systems, but on transforming how we understand ourselves and lead.
Along the way he reflects on purpose, service, consciousness, regeneration, and the remarkable leaders already demonstrating that another way is possible.
Meta-Conscious Leaders exists to illuminate these pathfinders and to support business leaders who wish to become a force for good in service of humanity and the natural world.
If this conversation resonates with you, you're warmly invited to become part of the growing Meta-Conscious Leaders community.

Joel Monk on Consciousness, Wisdom, AI and the Future of Leadership
In this profound and practical conversation, Greg Suart is joined by Joel Monk, leadership coach, facilitator, teacher and co-founder of Coaches Rising.
What if leadership is not primarily about having the answers?
What if the most important capacity a leader can develop is the ability to listen — not only to data, strategy and analysis, but to a deeper intelligence that emerges through awareness, embodiment and relationship?
Joel's journey has been anything but conventional. From art school and nightclub DJing to a spiritual pilgrimage through India and decades of work exploring human development, coaching, consciousness and transformational leadership, he has devoted his life to understanding how people access deeper levels of wisdom and possibility.
Together Greg and Joel explore:
- Why many leaders are trapped in a self-improvement paradigm
- The difference between knowledge and wisdom
- How intuition can inform decision-making
- Why uncertainty may be one of leadership's greatest gifts
- The role of embodiment in effective leadership
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the hidden drivers of behaviour
- Consciousness and the emerging post-materialist worldview
- Interdependence, systems thinking and organisational design
- AI and what it reveals about uniquely human capacities
- Leadership as relationship rather than control
- The question: "What does life want with me?"
At a time when technology is accelerating, complexity is increasing and certainty is becoming harder to find, Joel argues that the future belongs not to those who can process the most information, but to those who can cultivate wisdom, presence and deeper forms of knowing.
This is a conversation for business leaders, entrepreneurs, coaches and anyone interested in the evolution of leadership in a rapidly changing world.

"The deeper question is whether human consciousness can evolve faster than the systems, fears and identities that keep reproducing conflict." — Fawzia Koofi
At a time when division appears to be deepening across politics, business, communities and culture, former Afghan parliamentarian and peace negotiator Fawzia Koofi invites us to look beyond the visible manifestations of conflict and examine the forces that give rise to it.
Fawzia's life has unfolded at the centre of some of the defining struggles of our age. As one of Afghanistan's most prominent political leaders, a former Vice President of the National Assembly, women's rights advocate, and member of the Afghan peace negotiation team, she has spent decades working in environments shaped by violence, instability, competing identities and profound inequality.
Drawing upon her experiences negotiating directly with the Taliban, surviving assassination attempts, representing women and victims of war, and continuing her humanitarian work from exile, Fawzia offers a rare perspective on leadership under extreme pressure.
Fawzia answers questions of the nature of conflict, the meaning of peace, the role of justice, and the qualities required of leaders navigating a world of increasing complexity.
The conversation moves beyond geopolitics into questions that affect every organisation, every community and every leader.
~ How do we create space for different realities to coexist?
~ What happens when power is unequal?
~ How do we work with anger without becoming defined by it?
~ What role do purpose, faith, listening and human dignity play in building trust?
And perhaps most importantly:
~ Can human consciousness mature quickly enough to meet the challenges of our time?
────────────────────────
ABOUT FAWZIA KOOFI
Fawzia Koofi is one of Afghanistan's most distinguished political leaders and internationally recognised advocates for democracy, peace and women's rights.
Born in Badakhshan Province, she rose from a childhood shaped by war and discrimination to become the first woman elected to the Afghan Parliament from her province and later Vice President of the National Assembly.
For more than two decades she worked at the heart of Afghan public life, championing education, healthcare, human rights and the inclusion of women in political decision-making.
Following the collapse of the Afghan Republic in 2021, she continued her advocacy from exile whilst remaining deeply connected to events inside her homeland.

What place does love have in leadership and organisations?
Can love coexist with performance, accountability and business reality — or is it something modern workplaces have suppressed?
In this profound and deeply human conversation, Greg Suart speaks with leadership consultant, coach and researcher Helena Clayton about her award-winning inquiry into “Leading with Love” and why conversations about love may be among the most important conversations we can now have.
Helena Clayton is a leadership and organisational development consultant with more than 25 years’ experience across UK organisations including the UK Civil Service, Jaguar Land Rover, Ernst & Young and London Business School.
Formerly a director at Roffey Park Institute, Helena’s research explores the role of love, fear, vulnerability and human connection in leadership and organisational life.
Together, Greg and Helena explore:
• Why love is universally recognised but culturally suppressed
• The role of fear in organisational life
• Love as a leadership practice rather than sentiment
• Why vulnerability is often perceived as weakness
• The tension between humanity and extractive business culture
• Whether love may be fundamental to consciousness and reality itself
• How organisations might become more human, connected and alive.
This is not a sentimental conversation.
It is a radical inquiry into the future of leadership, work and human flourishing.

Peter Merry on Consciousness, Emergence & the Future of Leadership.
What if leadership is evolving in lock step with humanity? In this fascinating and wide-ranging conversation, Peter Merry joins Meta-Conscious Leaders to explore the emerging frontier of leadership, consciousness, systems thinking, and human evolution.
Peter is a futures thinker, systems innovator, author of Evolutionary Leadership, co-founder of Wyrd Technologies, and founder of the Science & Consciousness Conference.
Together with Greg Suart they explore why today’s leadership challenges are not merely technical, but developmental - and why the future may belong to leaders capable of integrating rational intelligence with intuition, presence, coherence, and deeper awareness.
Covering:
• The evolution of human consciousness and leadership
• Spiral Dynamics and developmental psychology
• Measurable coherence in groups
• Technologies designed to detect the effects of consciousness itself
Peter also shares insights into:
• Synchronicity and emergence,
• The breakdown and breakthrough of our current systems,
• The rise of “whole performers” over “high performers”,
• How future leadership may increasingly involve hosting the conditions for collective intelligence and emergence.
Peter also talks about his extraordinary work with:
• Wyrd Lights, Wyrdoscope
• The legacy of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) Lab,
• Experiments suggesting that human consciousness measurably affects random systems and group coherence.
This is a profound and yet deeply scientific exploration of: leadership, consciousness, evolution, interconnectedness, and the future of humanity itself.

In this powerful Meta-Conscious Leaders podcast Zen Master Roshido (Juergen Wollborn) shares with Greg Suart a rare journey: from landscape architect and founder of a multi-million Euro business to Zen Master – integrating deep spiritual awakening with real-world business leadership.
From a childhood moment of awe in the forest to decades of disciplined Zen practice, Jürgen reveals how inner stillness became the foundation for outer success — and ultimately, conscious exit.
This is not a story about escaping business. It’s about transforming how we show up within it.
In a world of rising pressure, noise, and distraction, Jürgen offers a radically different path:
👉 Lead from presence, not pressure
👉 Build people, not just profit
👉 Act from being, not constant doing
This is leadership for the next era.

What does it truly mean to lead in a world that feels increasingly fragmented, uncertain, and in flux?
In this episode of Meta-Conscious Leaders, Greg speaks with Duro Oye—founder of 20/20 Levels—a pioneering organisation that has empowered thousands of young people to unlock their potential and step into meaningful futures. But this conversation goes far beyond youth development.
Duro works at the sharp edge of society, where systemic challenges meet lived experience. And what he reveals is both confronting and deeply hopeful: the greatest gap in society is not one of skill—but of self-awareness.
From his early life growing up on a council estate, to a profound journey of identity, faith, and purpose, Duro shares how leadership begins not with what we do—but with who we are. His work challenges the assumptions we hold about young people, opportunity, and the structures that shape our lives.
Together, we explore a world in transition—one that may feel like breakdown, but could equally be an invitation to radical change. What if the systems we’ve built are no longer fit for purpose? What if leadership itself must evolve?
This is a conversation about identity, consciousness, business, and society—but above all, it is about contribution.
Because as Duro reminds us: “My life is not solely about me… but about the impact I leave on the world.”
Key Takeaways
• The greatest gap in society is not skill, but self-awareness
• Leadership begins with Being, not Doing
• Identity is the foundation of purpose and meaningful action
• Many systems were built without developing the people within them
• We are living in a time that demands choice, courage, and clarity of belief
• Radical change requires questioning everything we assume to be true
• Young people don’t lack talent—they lack access and opportunity
• Low expectation culture is one of the most damaging societal forces
• Business must evolve from profit-only to purpose-driven impact
• The future is built when wisdom (elders) meets energy (youth)
• Intergenerational collaboration is a massive, underutilised opportunity
• True leadership is selfless, empathetic, and service-oriented
