Metaphor to Help Explain Space, Time, Existence, and Consciousness
The physical world
- What we know
- Laws of physics change and alters
- Relativity = explains and describes the universe on a larger scale
- Motion of large objects like planets, etc
- Quantum mechanics = explains the subatomic world and how the universe interacts on a smaller scale
- Why is this problematic?
- It cannot tell us the future or past of the universe.
- These theories are not interchangeable, meaning that the theory of relativity does not apply to the subatomic world and vice versa. It is as if they are two totally different worlds.
- We have a past and have a future - time consciousness
- We know that eventually our sun will burn out and the planet Earth will no longer be in its current state.
- We use space time to describe the events that happen in our reality based on motion.
Metaphor that helps describe spacetime to help show there is no beginning or end
- Take a sheet of paper and place it in front of you next to some drawing utensils.
- You begin to draw on the paper, whatever it is from a stick figure, a world, a landscape, a being that has yet to exist in our reality.
- You have ‘created’ one dimensional drawings
- Before the one dimensional drawing, everything existed in different states - whether ideas or physical objects/beings.
- Meaning the paper was blank
- There is no beginning and there is no ending regardless of what you do with the paper. You can burn it, throw it away, hang it up. Whatever happened, it still existed. It was not created or destroyed, it just existed in other states.
- Now take that piece of paper and think of it as the 3rd dimension/ the physical world/ our current state of consciousness.
- Whatever you drew on the paper - you were spilling/ projecting your consciousness on the paper.
- When you were done, whatevers happens to the paper = it lead to an experience
- Now think of the piece of paper as your life story
- Through your life - from childhood to adulthood - are imprinted experiences, personality, likes and dislikes
- You, the author, existed before the paper - think of the author as your higher conscious self
- The author draws ideas and information from this infinite net = energy that connects everything with one another
- Authors motives and intentions based on knowledge and experience as well as capabilities
- When the author is finished with the piece of paper, You simply get up and do something else. The piece of paper represents your human life in the physical world/ the universe.
- Your consciousness projected the art of the piece of paper - drawing from knowledge that has always existed but piecing it together in a unique manner.
- Regardless of what happens to the paper, it was an experience that allowed YOU the high conscious self project and this projection sparks feelings and emotions in the form of energy imprints
