What is the Metaverse?

Suddenly, everyone seems to be talking about it as though it's where all of our future lies. Is that true?

Metaverse is a combination of multiple technology elements - virtual reality, augmented reality, and video where users "live" within a digital universe. Not that, it's not where we mostly spend our lives even today! It's just that we won't be faceless anymore and will have our own faces and assets to show.
