Metroid Dread was developed by MercurySteam and Nintendo EPD. It was released on October 8, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch, and is the final installment in Samus Aran's 2D adventures. The game is considered a sequel to Metroid Fusion and is said to be the conclusion of Samus' story.
