This week, we're looking at the ur text for modern science fiction filmmaking, Fritz Lang's 1927 opus METROPOLIS. Despite how influential the film has proven to be, it took nearly 80 years for the film to be released as the director intended it, and viewing the newest restoration is like seeing the film for the first time.
