In episode 7, our Co-Founder Gabi and Programme Director Ksenia, chat with Anne-Charlotte Mornington, Head of Impact at OLIO.
OLIO is an app that connects neighbours with each other and with local businesses so surplus food - and non food items can be shared, not thrown away. This could be food nearing its sell-by date in local stores, spare home-grown vegetables, bread from your baker, or the groceries in your fridge when you go away. You simply open the app, add a photo, description, and when and where the item is available for pick-up.
OLIO believes that small actions can lead to big change. Collectively – one rescued cupcake, carrot or bottle of lotion at a time – can help build a more sustainable future where our most precious resources are shared, not thrown away.
Anne-Charlotte's focus has shifted between international expansion, partnerships, special projects, and most recently impact. After instigating OLIO communities in Sweden, California and Mexico, she now focuses on developing new revenue models while setting up strategic partnerships to accelerate company growth.
Join Anne-Charlotte, Gabi and Ksenia as they discuss how Anne-Charlotte has been part of the OLIO team since 2015, and has supported the company's expansion, from a few hundred users in North London to over 5.8 million users globally.
