A Shot Of Truth

Mi Corasol

Listen Later

Sol is an activist and jewelry maker–long before them their grandmother was also a maker of crafts in Ecuador. Sol joins us today to share the importance of intersectional and intentional work within community spaces. They create statement pieces that celebrate our diverse identities. This includes queer and immigrant-focused jewelry such as beautiful hoops with the word “Queer” on them and a pin reading “Abolish Pol(ICE).” They see their work as artifacts, identity statements, and protection for our bodies. They were also a co-founder of the Long Beach GRRRL (Gender Revolution Resistance Radical Liberation) Collective. Just so much wisdom and care in their work!
