Modern folk singer/songwriter Michal Schnabel joined “On the Record Music” ahead of his local show next week.

Schnabel, of Columbus, Ohio, is touring with his Two Cow Garage bandmate Shane Sweeney and artist Vanessa Jean Speckman, who designed the cover of his latest album, “Your New Norman Rockwell,” and his first novel, “Hello My Name is Henry.” Speckman runs a pop-up art booth at shows, creating a multi-medium experience.

Schnabel is slated to open for ska band the Toasters on Monday, June 18 at Cafe Nine.
