Mic'd Up

On August 9, 2023, the Mika Gadsden for Mayor campaign invited author and environmental historian, Caroline Grego to Charleston to discuss her book, Hurricane Jim Crow. The discussion about this book along with critical contributions from artist/griot, Sara Makeba-Daise, MA and environmental educator/hydrologist Rebecca Fanning helps the public understand our region's response to challenges brought about by the climate crisis.

On April 19, 2023, I sat down with author and Harvard Law professor, Susan Crawford, to discuss her recently released book Charleston: Race, Water and the Coming Storm. Here's audio from that evening.
