Michael Rudman was an associate director at the National Theatre for 10 years, and director of the Lyttelton Theatre for 3 years under Peter Hall. I Joke Too Much is the story of the American-born director’s 50-year career, which also includes running the Traverse, Hampstead and Sheffield theatres.
