Michele Nevarez grew up fascinated by different world religions and after graduating from Bryn Mawr College, she spent a number of years in Nepal where she and a group of students founded a University for the study of Buddhism. She earned a degree there herself and came back to the US and launched a career as a human resources professional. She has now become a partner in imparting the teachings of Daniel Goleman's landmark book "Emotional Intelligence", through a company called Goleman EI.
