Growing up in New Jersey, Michelle Pae decided by the 8th grade that she would be going away to school.

Her eldest brother went to Exeter and her middle  sister went to Andover.

Interviewing with Bobby Edwards, Michelle told him that, like many of us said in our own interviews, "I have to go to this school."  

Tales of the Trans-Siberian Railroad, studying physics by candlelight, and chicken pox in the wilds of Russia not only entertain but also give new insight into our classmates' time in the USSR. KGB included.  

Michelle opined that our class does indeed have something special about it, giving each other permission to be ourselves, including being weird.
