In the Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, essential farmworkers have received little protection during pandemic times despite their communities being at risk. This includes a lack of social distancing guidelines, protective gear, and accessible education of their workers’ rights. KCSB’s Aubrey Valerio discussed these issues with Arcenio Lopez, the Executive Director at the Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP).
