This Podcast explore the mushroom Trametes versicolor / Coriolus versicolor. Coriolus versicolor is one of the most studied and clinically most important mushrooms used for the treatment of numerous types of cancer. The research has mainly focused on the anti-tumor properties of two pharmacologically active protein-polysaccharide complexes or proteoglycans, called PSK (Polysaccharide-K or Krestin) and PSP (Polysaccharide-Peptide) which have been evaluated in large-scale clinical trials. Such compounds have been shown to be very immunotherapeutic in cancer treatments, especially if combined with conventional treatments, with no adverse effects or toxicity.
