New funding: Seattle-based MontyCloud brought in $2.85 million for its AI-driven software platform that helps companies work across multiple cloud computing providers.

Company background: MontyCloud helps customers manage and monitor their cloud services, automate maintenance tasks, and manage governance, compliance, and provisioning.

The startup currently supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) and plans to add Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms in the near future.

Cloud veterans Venkat Krishnamachari, Kannan Parthasarathy and Venkat Hari founded MontyCloud last year.
