Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is Next Generation

Listen Later

The new graphics technology in a flight simulator 2020 is amazing. Especially, with Azure cloud being added. This game is true next generation! Welcome back to next gen video game theory by Nick awesome. And today we're going to talk about flight simulator, the new one that's coming out and how it's really bringing on an usher on the next generation of video game systems. I'm so incredibly excited for flight simulator, because it is what the graphics are going to be with the next generation. And when you see this iteration, and these videos of these planes flying, the graphics are absolutely astounding. It's using all the new technology, when it comes to graphics and is pushing GPUs that Max, it's only getting like 38 frames per second right now as it today, there may be some optimization done, it's only getting 38 frames per second on 4k with some of the best graphics technology and components that you could possibly have. I am incredibly excited about this system. And what it has to offer. Coming into this year, we have so much excitement coming with the PS five, and the new Xbox. And I've even heard that this new flight simulator is going to be on the new Xbox, eventually you're gonna be able to play with the controller. So definitely excited about that, because I'm looking forward to getting one of those. But one of the neat things about flight simulator is the just the, they're going to add ray tracing to it eventually, right now they don't have it because it hasn't. And they're going to add a lot of different other things to this game. And one of the neat things is that has azura Cloud and what it does, it renders This is a new technology, it renders in the background, the graphics on top of your GPU adding more power to your game. And wow, that is incredible. Being able to have that extra power right there for you is something that is very helpful when it comes to being able to render high graphics, especially in the background, where you can't necessarily see it. So let's say you fly to a city, it's going to be a see real time planes throughout the world and being able to render those planes, and the cities will have updates quickly that way. So you're going to be able to see those updates. And it can use up to like seven gigabytes in a 10 hour period, or more depending on what your settings are. And if you have a really fast internet connection, you can kind of see where your graphics can really increase. So kind of seeing the combo of cloud with a with a dedicated graphics card, as an incredibly new concept that could if takes off can really quadruple the ability of video games to up their graphics fidelity very quickly. The problem with that is when that's on, it requires an internet connection. So you're kind of having to balance that out when it's coming from a graphical perspective, and being able to do that. But the limitless idea of being able to use cloud with this, and bringing on let's say your system's not up to par, maybe this is a way you can get up to ultra, when you may not have the components to do that maybe you have a mid range PC, and you add the cloud gaming, you're able to get an ultra at that point if you render it just a little bit. So I don't know exactly how that works from a technical perspective. But you can see like from a lighting perspective, maybe your internal lighting through a cloud gaming system, such as ray tracing, which takes an incredible amount of power to run. And you have to have the top line performance cards. And maybe we can just run it out through the cloud and use servers that are already out there. Now I'm sure there's a cost to developers, and being able to use this technology because you have to have the server's running, which renders that which can be a cost for the game. Now, it would probably be a game, it's going to have DLC and stuff like that, like flight simulators, probably eventually going to have new planes, and stuff like that, that people are willing to..
