X’s & O’s

The opening drive for Brett Hundley’s first start was great and resulted in a touchdown

Aaron Jones is a real find at RB - he is so much better than Ty Montgomery which begs the question why McCarthy danced around with Ty for so many weeks while Aaron Jones rotted on the bench.

My personal opinion is that McCarthy desperately wants to make the Ty Montgomery position switch work to prove he’s the smartest guy in the room.  Hubris at it’s finest.

Hundley did not play well, but much of that I put on McCarthy and his gameplan. After the first offensive drive McCarthy basically tried to “hide” Hundley. It made no sense.  He played not to lose which in the NFL gets you fired as a coach.

Hundley passed for 87 yards FOR THE ENTIRE GAME - 87. YARDS. He has the lowest AYP (average yards per attempt) in the league at 1.4 YPA...absolutely shameful, pathetic numbers.

The tight ends, which should have been the QBs friend and outlet, were nowhere to be found.

While the defense notched two interceptions they played very poorly.  New Orleans racked up almost 500 yards of offense.  The Packer defense was caught TWICE with only 10 players on the field.  The first time resulted in a touchdown, the 2nd time resulted in a 15 yard first down.  Shameful.

The mystery of HA HA Clinton Dix’s horrific play continues - the packers claim he is completely healthy and not receiving any treatment at all for anything.  If that is the truth then his drop off in play from last year to this year is the biggest I’ve seen from a player in a long, long time.
