The Washington Commanders have been eliminated from playoff contention and potentially lost their defensive captain and leader to a knee injury, and yet that likely won't be what this game is remembered for in the annals of NFL lore. In his post-game press conference, Head Coach Ron Rivera was, astoundingly, surprised to learn that the Commanders could be eliminated later that afternoon pending the result of the Green Bay-Minnesota Game. What?! No longer down the I95 in Richmond though, the Commanders have made camp at home in Ashburn in front of a small but passionate group of fans who were fortunate enough to receive one of the few tickets allocated. All eyes are on Carson Wentz as he begins his tenure as Washington's starting Quarterback, and he's going to have plenty of help from newly-paid Terry McLaurin, as well as 1st round pick Jahan Dotson, and a motivated Curtis Samuel after he missed most of 2021 to injury.
