Midnight Caller

Midnight Caller: "Rhiannon" - Episode Two

Listen Later

Inspired by Welsh folklore, Rhiannon tells the story of the legendary Wicca Witch of Wales as she fights desperately to protect her beloved country and woodlands from a ruthless English king.

In Episode Two "The Curse" trapped by the English, Rhiannon makes a desperate decision and unleashes a black magic curse. The spell goes out of control, however, and kills an unintended victim. Rhiannon falls into a deep sleep and is sealed within a cave. Ten years later, she's accidentally awakened and discovers a changed Wales. Meanwhile, King Edward's brave but impulsive son Prince Jon tries to convince his father to let him travel to Wales to find Rhiannon and kill her. Coming to terms with a changed word, Rhiannon meets her now full-grown son Pryderi. Pryderi introduces her to the Welsh King Llewellyn who begs for her help to drive the English out of Wales, but Rhiannon is afraid of using her powers again and unleashing her curse...

"Rhiannon" stars Tara Norris as "Rhiannon," John Wilders as "Pryderi," Peter Maric as "King Edward," Marco Maric as "Prince Jon," Chris Berry as "King Llewellyn," Daniele Bertolucci as "John Peckham," Richard M Dumont as "Sir Cullen," Tucker Smith as "King Aldith," Robin Zerbe as "Queen Ann," Bruce Mann as "Elis" and "Afon - The Welsh Messenger" Rosemarie Lagunas as "Owen - The Peasant Boy".
