Eliza Drake and Mark Sterling are about to build a life together, but some unexpected news changes their plans.

Marshal Jackson Reed is determine to uncover Eliza secret at any cost.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by how this series ended; Eliza was courageous and determine and that determination gave her the strength to endure all she would have to face to reach her goal. This is the kind of story that makes your heart sing and keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next. Oh my! The redemption of Lucy and the joy and happiness that is experienced by some of the main characters makes this story worth reading.

I could go on and on about how GREAT this story is, but you will need to purchase a copy to find out.

Ms. Sanford, please don't let this be your last book. Maybe we can get a story about Seth.

Great book.

Laurie is great writer. I am glad I read all three books. Book one had a very sad ending. I almost didn't continue reading the series. I am glad I didn't quit reading! The books had a great ending. The books made me think, which is always a good thing. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat at times.

On the run and beautifully done.. bravo Sanford

I loved the transformation of the characters. Eliza's courage impressed me as much as did the hearts of her childhood friends. Mark Sterling and Lucy were gems. I loved the watermelon part.. and Sanford did a beautiful job with her characters' part in the Underground Railroad. But don't let my love of the sweetness of this story confuse you. Be prepared for peril, chases, captures, near-death, death and most importantly new lives and new families.. you really do get to read about a little bit of heaven on earth.

Could not wait for the next page, this was for sure a page turner, following this family and the characters within was a wonder to behold. Loved, loved, loved it.

i read the other two books in her series, and this one didn't disappoint! There were so many twists and turns in this plot, I was kept guessing until the end. It was a great read!
