Some truths only come out after midnight—when the house is quiet, the dogs are asleep, and your nervous system finally gets a vote.
In Midnight Snack E32, I’m talking about something we’re not really allowed to say out loud (especially as women… especially as “healers”… especially as people who are supposedly good at love):
I don’t think I want a relationship. Not right now. Maybe not ever.
And the strangest part? It doesn’t feel sad. It feels like relief.
This episode isn’t a rant. It’s not bitter. It’s not “burn the patriarchy.”
It’s a soft, honest, porch-light conversation about nervous system math—the kind that happens when you’ve paid in spades for relationships that cost you your peace, your energy, your health… and you finally stop volunteering for emotional labor disguised as love.
We walk through:
the cultural script that pathologizes peace (“what’s wrong with you if you don’t want to pair off?”)
why some of us were wired for solitude long before trauma ever entered the room
how my marriage was forged in survival and necessity—and what it taught me about love, labor, grief, and release
