This week we spend some time with Travis Alander, a mobile heavy equipment mechanic at Z Contractors. We get an idea of how he got into welding before becoming a service tech. He tells us what it's like to be a mobile heavy equipment mechanic, and also he also tells us about some of the jobs he's gone out on. One job he was recently on was the tear down of the US 23 bridge in Ann Arbor after it was hit by a truck hauling a back hoe.
