There is little representation of hearing loss in the media, whether it be in television or books. Katie Petruzziello, a mom of two children with hearing loss, noticed this, as her daughter Mila questioned why no one in her children’s books looked like her. Katie wanted to incorporate hearing loss and the use of hearing technology into children’s books to spread awareness of hearing loss, particularly in children.
