Judges 6:7-16 NIV
How to be a Mighty Warrior, according to God
Qualifications:
Inadequacy.
Insecurity.
Fear.
Shame.
The least of your clan
The main qualification is that “The Lord is with you”
Exodus 14:14 NIV
“Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
God Chooses the “Least of These”
1 Samuel 16: 7 NIV
Tear down the strongholds and generational sins and curses. Listen to the Lord alone. Be Holy as He is Holy.
He Lets Us Test Him
Our “fleece” is the Holy Spirit
*Prayer
*God’s Word
*Godly counsel
He calls the victory. He knows the end of your story. V16 The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”
God Likes Impossible Odds
The Midianite army was 135,000 men. Gideon started with 32,000 men set to fight the Midianites. The Lord stripped it down to 10,000.
Judges 7:2 NIV
The Lord stripped it down to 300 men
He will help us…but He wants all the Glory
He wants us to rely on Him in impossible circumstances
Psalm 27:14 NIV
He will rescue us and defeat our enemies in ways we can’t imagine. His strategies rely on the supernatural
Ephesians 6:12 NIV
Judges 7:17-22 NIV
Where are you right now?
Are you hiding in a winepress threshing wheat so your enemy can’t find you?
Have you heard God’s call but you are continually laying out your fleeces to make sure it’s really God?
Do you see the generational sins and are you willing to tear them down?
Are you in the fight of your life and you feel like God has stripped your resources down to nothing?
Will you trust Him to lead you into the battle with impossible odds against you?
Will you believe that He has a miraculous victory in store for you?
Remember:
He calls you Mighty Warrior
He says “Go in the strength you have”.
He says “I Am with you”.
He declares the Victory
