John’s public ministry most likely began in the summer AD 26. John preached a baptism of repentance. John described Jesus’ ministry under the New Covenant—speaks of fullness and wholeness. Jesus was baptized by John probably in autumn AD 26 and Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness was also probably in autumn AD 26.
