He had just started working for the foreign service. The Canadian team came to Uganda bringing 2 large Candian flags. They set up at the IPS building and in 7 days were ready to process the applications. 8,000 family applications wre taken and on day 3 they had 4,500 returned applications.Listen to the story of an amazing Canadian team that we still admire today. Many of them have gone on to careers in teh forgein service.To think in 1962 Canada had a colour barrier in its immigration history and by 1967 a point system had been established.These refugees were processed under the "oppressed minority" category and settled in Canada as refugeesThanks Mike for this great interview.
