Host John Lund recap's Louisville hoops 118-77 thrashing of NC State, a historic night from their star freshman, and what head coach Pat Kelsey had to say about it. As Frankie Valli likes to say, Oh what a night. A historic night, a memorable night, a night that fans have been begging for, and a night that some small minority of fans didn't deserve. The Cardinals are 3-0 since I sat behind this microphone and called out the IDIOTS that spent DAYS calling for Pat Kelsey to get fired, because they lost to a top-three team in the country by too many points with their best player still on his way back. But against NC State, that star player in Mikel Brown Jr. had 45 points, 10 threes and nine rebounds just for good measure: tying the school record for points held by Louisville legend Wes Unseld, tying the school record for 3s held by Reyne Smith and breaking the ACC freshman record of 42 set by Cooper Flagg. It was a Clev Lubin-esque Belt To Ass beatdown by all involved, and a hope that some fans will see some positivity in the Cards.
