Sol Selectas is pleased to present “Al Gaib” from Hong Kong artist Milam. His music has a restrained depth which feels both nostalgic and modern at the same time. This EP includes 2 originals and a remix by Japanese artist and friend Akira Arasawa.

In Milam’s own words he describes the focus of this project: “I wanted to make very deep and emotional tracks contrary to what is popular these days. I want to help people feel deeply again.”

“Al Gaib” literally means the voice of the unknown, and Milam describes it further as an intuitive feeling of royalty, wisdom, and confidence, which he channels into his music.

“Mt Fuji is a Pyramid” was inspired by a sunset flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong, where the silhouette of Mount Fuji evoked the same timeless awe as the ancient pyramids.

Akira Arasawa’s remix transforms “Mt Fuji” into a bouncy, energized indie dance interpretation while preserving the original’s deep, trippy atmosphere and sense of cosmic expansion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali complements the music where visual dreams come to life, with Mount Fuji rising against ancient scrolls and bathed in a hypnotic, glowing sunset.
