Hey everyone! Welcome back for Episode 11 of the Milkweed Musings Podcast. So appreciate all of you for tuning in today, and bearing with me while I find my bearings in this new and crazy world. Sending you all love and happy plant vibes! Today I talk about how much I love my friend Autumn and appreciate the inspiration she gives me for these episodes! One day I'm going to have her on this show as a guest and you'll all understand what I mean! She inspired the topic of 'New Beginnings' today as well. I speak about new beginnings in this crazy world we call home, and in the life of a plant. Always taking inspiration from the plants and their world.
Also today we have a plant profile - Chives! Brought to you by the Equal Grounds Community Garden. We have a lot of culinary and medicinal herbs planted this year and will be doing profiles regularly on each of the plants you will find in those gardens. Hope to see you there!

Hey listeners! Thanks for coming back to listen again to the Milkweed Musings podcast. Today I have a big announcement! We've planted a community herbal garden! How cool is that!? There are veggies there too. So when you come by to get your tomatoes for dinner, you can grab some basil too! And oregano, and peppermint, and chives, and rosemary, and Thyme! The garden is located in Brantford, Ontario on a friend's front lawn through a company called Equal Ground. They organize hundreds of community gardens across the city. When the garden is linked on the website, I'll be able to post the exact location.
Feeling grateful for the community connections involved in a community garden. Growing and eating healthy, fresh food together! Oh the possibilities.
Goals for a community herbal garden: to educate the community on the medicinal effects of common culinary herbs; to provide recipes for culinary and medicinal inspiration; to connect with others.
Today's episode features some details about Thyme - which you can find in the garden!
Thanks for listening! As always - shout out to @chicorynikki for the invigorating intro and outro music.
Talk to you next Wednesday!
Hello listeners! Thanks again for tuning in. This week is all about Burdock - the underdog of the plant world. Burdock gets a bad rap because it sticks its seeds to us in the fall. But there is so much more to this herb. In the episode you'll hear all about its botany, medicinal actions, and energetics.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Launch of the Plant Spirit Postcards happened on Monday! Have you ever wondered if there's anything more to an herb than it's "uses"? My darling, there is! Every couple of weeks I'll be releasing a new Plant Spirit Postcard which showcases a certain plant or herb. Ali Schilter from @fuzzyferns tattoo studio has done some incredible drawings of these herbs - so you get this beautiful graphic of each herb along with the info and inspiration you need to dive deep into the energetics of each plant. Writings are taken from my experiences with the plants and from my education in herbal medicine. These offerings are free for you if you agree to sign up for our exciting newsletter that's launching next week! Don't miss this opportunity! :) Use code WILDROSE at checkout. www.rockyroseherbals.ca/products
Today's show is all about the idea of what would happen if plants actually had feelings and emotions? How would that work? Is there even a way to know if they do? Can they understand us? So many questions! So many ponderings! Listen with an open mind and open heart, then let the plants speak to you!
