  • Can't Touch This

Amy Haas is fast. Real fast. She's the woman behind "Race Across the States" - an elite runner and coach, and a new mom! In 2024, she completed her goal of running a half marathon in every state in the U.S., and now she's set her sights on running all the major marathons and pounding dirt through America's national parks. It's about more than running for Amy. It's been about living a life of wonder, meaning, and purpose, and over time, she's built a community for other women who are looking for the same.

We love community builders and we knew we'd love Amy. What we gained was not only a peek into her lifestyle, her habits, and her motivation, but also how she deals with negativity online, and how she coped with the profound loss of her first pregnancy. She's been open about all of it in hopes that other people find strength and feel less alone, and we could not admire her more.

  • I'm Just a Kid

[Trigger warning: Brief discussion of suicide]

Dr. Alli Young is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in lifestyle and sports psychiatry, with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of mental health, physical health, and performance. We know her as the founder of Sideline Psych, an Instagram account that aims to help parents, coaches, and leagues navigate the mental side of sports.

In recognition of all the good that sports can add to our kids' lives (and all the unintended negatives that come from a distorted relationship with sports) + in honor of Mental Health and Suicide Awareness Month, we wanted to sit down with Dr. Alli to talk about maximizing the good. She shares her thoughts as a psychiatrist, a former athlete, and a parent who spends a considerable amount of her time on sidelines. She has big thoughts about structuring a deliberate, healthy, lifelong relationship with movement, and empowering more members of the community to support mental health and wellness for young athletes.

  • Unwritten

Natasha Bedingfield wasn't the only one reaching for something in the distance in the early 2000s.

We grew up with Allie Crystal, platinum-record songwriter, singer, and music producer known for co-writing global hits like "SNAP" (Rosa Linn), "Reverie" (Illenium), tracks with Jax, Timmy Trumpet, and countless others. Needless to say, she is so much cooler than we are, but lucky for us, she was willing to sit down for a bit and catch us up on the past couple decades. She's extremely honest about the the road she's traveled, the hurdles she faced, the breaks, the sparks, and her latest big adventure: motherhood.

Allie also previews her next album with Jax, which is all about pregnancy and postpartum. Allie co-wrote and produced Jax's newest song, "An Airport Bathroom," which cuts right to the heart of pregnancy loss is the simplest and most profound way. It had us sobbing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HQVda6FXzw

Listen in for Allie's recap of her dream chasing, music making life, and stay tuned for the new album, which drops this fall!

  • Just the Two of Us

We were overdue for an end-of-summer, almost back-to-school catch up. We're recapping Benson and Dude Perfect and manifesting Kylie. We're healing generational trauma and acknowledging how overstimulating life can be. We're thinking about how our kids receive information vs. how we did, and reminiscing about the good old days of guided searches in the computer lab. We're managing our own anxiety and helping our kids cope with theirs and it is... a lot. But we have each other, and you have us!

  • Complicated

Dr. Anne Welsh is a psychologist, leadership & executive coach, author, and mom of four. Her new book, Ambitious Mother, is about letting go of the idea that women need to accept a narrow (or stagnant) definition of ambition or success. She works with women leaders and organizations and loves talking about motherhood, leadership, invisible labor, burnout, and all the rules our generation is starting to rewrite.

We get into what ambition means to us, how it changes with the eras of our lives, how to differentiate between guilt vs. grief, and what healthy striving looks like. Dr. Anne provided a little free validation and therapy to your Millennials and if you listen, you'll win, too!

  • Nothing But Net

When you listen to this episode, you'll understand that the title is both iconic and ironic, because today's guest loves basketball, and he does not believe it should be a kids' whole life - any sport, for that matter.

On this episode, we welcome our first guest, Kyle Pless, Founder of Between the Lines Basketball. He's a youth basketball coach with an impressive resume, but what's more inspiring is his remarkably grounded approach to youth sports. He's thought a lot about how to (and how not to) develop young athletes and nurture a love for sports, and he's outspoken about what he sees destroying youth sports culture. Listen in for his thoughts on why early specialization isn't the advantage you might think it is, and what our kids really want us to hear.

  • What Would You Say You Do Here?

So maybe we should back up.

What does it mean to be a Millennial, in chronological and experiential terms? Why do we question everything? How can we be for each other, the thing we've always needed?

If you're more of a reader than a listener (or really enjoy both), check out our opening blogs on Substack:

  • You Had Me at Hello

Meet Cait + Meg: Millennials, Moms, friends for over 20 years, willing to talk about pretty much anything. In this first episode, we share the story of our friendship and discuss what we want this show to be. It's a place for (extremely) honest chats, big questions, and community, because if there's anything our generation knows how to do with tech, it's connect.

How did motherhood bring us back together?

How do we measure our contribution to the world and our homes?

Why do we talk about how hard parenting is, but not marriage?

Why is Meg making so much bread?

You're totally invited to sit with us. Throw up an away message and come along.
